Emanuela is currently registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) in the United Kingdom and is also licensed by the Dubai Health Authority since 2017. She is also bilingual and speaks fluent English and Italian.
After completing her graduation in Speech and Language Therapy with First Class Honours, Emanuela worked in Southern Italy for over a year, with both adults and children who had neurological impairments that compromised aspects of their abilities in language, speech, eating and drinking.
She moved to London where she completed her master’s degree in Advanced Practise in Health and Social Care: Speech, Language and Communication Needs from City, University of London. She specialised in primarily addressing Speech Sound Disorders in Children with complex motor disorders and/or sensory issues (e.g.: Genetic Syndromes, Cerebral Palsy, Autism etc.).
Emanuela has worked at Pure Child Health, Dubai, where she led a team of Occupational Therapists, a Pediatric Physiotherapist and a Behavioral Therapist.
Skilled assessment, intervention and interdisciplinary care allows the learners in Emanuela’s caseload to achieve functional goals, making crossover and generalisation of skills possible. She enjoys being a part of big support teams that are centred around the child which ensures that therapy is family-centred and effective at all times.
She loves being part of a highly skilled team at High Hopes serving children who would otherwise encounter barriers in accessing the appropriate therapies.
