Biography – Viviane Cappellari was born and raised in Brazil. She graduated in Speech and Language Therapy in 1999 and thereafter achieved her Post Graduation in Oral Motor and Vocal Disorders from IMEC and Master Degree in Speech Therapy at Santa Maria Federal University. In addition, she is specialized in Oral Placement therapy and feeding disorders certified by the Beckman Oral Motor and Talk Tools Program from USA. She is PROMPT and Kaufman trained which are some of the most evidence based approaches in treating childhood apraxia of speech. Viviane is Makaton and Hanen trained and follows a social-interactive approach based on the child's lead. She believes in team work and collaborative therapy involving parents, teachers, caregivers and therapists to achieve optimal goals. She is licensed by the Brazilian Council of Speech and Language Therapy (CRFa- RS) and licensed by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) since 2009.
She has over 18 years work experience in a variety of paediatric settings. She has helped children with a wide range of difficulties and diagnosis including:
Before joining High Hopes, she worked at Physiotherapy and Family Medicine Clinic in a private practice and Dubai Center for Special Needs (DCSN) in a school setting serving a variety of students with different cultural backgrounds and diagnosis. At DCSN, she shared her experiences and knowledge-training with parents, teachers, caregivers and therapists in a multi-disciplinary approach. She has created and coordinated the DCSN afternoon clinic, providing more opportunities of treatment for outpatients.
