At High Hopes, our Feeding Therapy program supports children with difficulties in eating, chewing, swallowing, or food acceptance, often due to sensory, oral-motor, or medical challenges. Led by our Speech and Language Therapists, and supported by a multidisciplinary team, therapy is tailored to each child’s needs using evidence-based approaches such as the SOS Approach to Feeding and oral-motor techniques. Sessions are play-based and child-focused, promoting safe feeding, increased food variety, and improved nutritional intake. We also work closely with families to ensure strategies are carried over into home and school routines.
