Biography

Samreen is a passionate Speech and Language Therapist with a dual Bachelor of Science degree in Audiology and Speech, Language and Communication Sciences, and a Master of Science in Speech, Language and Communication (Advanced Practitioner) from London, UK. She has multiple years of experience working with children from preschool age through adolescence, with a strong focus on early intervention. Samreen follows a neurodiversity-affirming, child-led approach and is committed to holistic, evidence-based practice that integrates sensory needs and values collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams.

Her clinical expertise includes working with children with neurodevelopmental differences, speech sound disorders, stuttering, hearing impairment, and Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS). She is trained and certified in a range of therapeutic approaches including all levels of the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), Gestalt Language Processing and Natural Language Acquisition (NLA), Oral Placement Therapy (TalkTools), Oral Myofunctional Therapy (OMT) with a focus on tongue-tie assessment and treatment, Auditory-Verbal Therapy (AVT) for hearing loss, and intervention for CAS through training from the Once Upon a Time Foundation. She also adopts a total communication approach, incorporating AAC when appropriate to support functional and meaningful communication.

Samreen has gained experience with internships and placements across a variety of specialized clinics and institutions supporting children with Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, ADHD, Autism, Stuttering and Hearing Impairment.

She is fluent in English and Urdu and provides assessment and intervention in both languages.
