DESCRIPTION:

Rare Disease Day is a global campaign observed every year on the last day of February in over 100 countries. It aims to raise awareness amongst policymakers, public authorities, medical researchers and the general public of the plight of patients suffering from rare diseases and their families. Worldwide there are about 450 million people across the world suffering from rare diseases— 75% of the children— and there, unfortunately, are no treatments or cures for most of them
