Biography

Laura Reid is a British Occupational Therapist with 7 years’ experience, licensed by Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and the Health and Care Professions Council, UK (HCPC). She has worked both in the UK and the UAE in various paediatric settings including Children’s Hospital’s, therapy centres, home care, special needs schools as well as mainstream schools and nurseries.

Laura has vast experience delivering comprehensive assessments and holistic, evidence-based interventions both on an individual and group basis. She always keeps the family at the centre of all care and believes in educating those around the child to ensure that the highest level of independence is achieved.

She has experience working with a multitude of diagnoses but has a special interest in supporting children with complex needs, to improve their quality of life using a Sensory Integration approach in which she is certified in.

Laura is passionate about learning and thrives to be best possible therapist she can be, she does this by regularly attending courses, engaging in conferences and reflecting on her own practice.
