Biography

Azraa earned her BSc in Speech and Language Pathology from the University of Cape Town, South Africa, and brings more than 11 years of experience helping children with a broad spectrum of communication and feeding needs. Most recently, she served at Neuropedia here in the UAE. Guided by evidence-based practice, she delivers individualized, family-centered therapy that uncovers the communicative purpose behind behaviors and integrates practical Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) tools.

Her clinical expertise spans assessment and treatment of speech, language, and swallowing difficulties, including apraxia of speech, language delays and disorders, articulation, social language disorders, literacy, and learning challenges, and feeding difficulties (dysphagia). Azraa has worked in special-education schools, hospital units, mainstream inclusion programs, and community health centers, and she has extensive experience with diagnoses such as Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, and ADHD.

Azraa values rapport-building and holistic care, tailoring intervention to each child’s strengths and communication goals through a blend of play-based, child-led, and structured strategies, with a strong emphasis on early intervention.
