Liz Hajj Nicolas is an experienced Speech and Language Therapist with a strong background in pediatric communication and fluency disorders.
She holds both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Speech and Language Therapy from Saint Joseph University in Beirut, Lebanon. Over the past 10 years, Liz has practiced across a variety of child-focused settings in Lebanon and the UAE, including schools, private clinics, and multidisciplinary therapy centers. She works fluently with children in Arabic, French, and English.
Liz has completed extensive advanced training and certifications that strengthen her clinical expertise, including ADOS-2 (UK), Play-Based Therapy (USA), Hanen’s It Takes Two to Talk (Canada), Individualizing Therapy for Fluency Disorders with Kenneth St. Louis (Lebanon), Creating and Evaluating Trainers in Inclusive Education through INSHEA (France), Cluttering Diagnosis and Treatment with Yvonne Van Zaalen (Lebanon), and Treating Stuttering from ABSF (France). She is also sensory trained, integrating regulation techniques throughout her sessions.
Her clinical experience spans children with a wide range of needs, including verbal language disorders, articulation and phonological challenges, fluency disorders (stuttering and cluttering), autism spectrum disorder, developmental delays, pragmatic language difficulties, and other communication-related concerns. She is particularly recognized for her child-led and play-based approach, ensuring that therapy is meaningful, engaging, and developmentally aligned.
Liz has also led a speech therapy department, supervising a multidisciplinary team and providing family-centered guidance and intervention planning. Her work reflects a belief that speech therapy is a holistic process—supporting not only verbal expression but the child’s overall communication development and confidence.
